Madelyn is headed to her first day of 1st Grade. (I think she thinks when she comes home today she will magically be able to read the books that were too hard for her this summer). She didn't even want me to walk her across the street this morning. I still did, but she was not going to hold my hand.
Taylor headed to 3rd Grade this year. She is excited to learn how to write in cursive.
Nadia wasn't too excited that the girls were leaving without her. She was yelling, "Wait for me!"
The girls were ready to leave at 7:40 this morning. School doesn't start until 8:25. Madelyn's school is only about 5 blocks away and Taylor's is about a 5 minute drive. . .
I love the first day of school!

Gosh, they are cute! We have one more week before heading back! Bittersweet--I will miss them, but maybe I will have time to scrap (after all the cleaning!)
How cute they are! I also love that mine went back today too!
The first day of school is so memorable. How did they do? My daughter goes back on Monday, the 24th. First day of High School! I will be sure to post some pics as well.
We start back next week- I can't wait! I will miss my son being at home too though...
Hi Amy! How gorgeous are you girls!! Jacob had his first ever day at school on Monday there! I am going to post a pic tomorrow for my Thankful Thursday post. He is in primary 1. He is loving it so far!

Wow--school is still three weeks away for us. This is our first year that we're not homeschooling, so it's going to be interesting to see how the first day of school goes.
